According to HuffPo's Sam Stein, "(A) group of highly respected conservative figures lent their support to the transfer" of a group of terror suspects from the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to a maximum-security prison in Thompson, Illinois. The trio, consisting of Bob Barr, Grover Norquist, and David Keene, put out a joint statement labeling the transfer a necessary step to avoid "sweeping and radical departures from an American constitutional tradition." It's nice to know that there are some intellectually honest conservatives out there who do more than pay lip service to things like the rule of law. It's just a pity that none of them happen to serve in the U.S. Congress.
